Josh Attwood Studio worked with Modern Activity on a website rebuild for Marcus Coates, a London-based contemporary artist and ornithologist. Born in 1968, Coates is known for his performative video works, installations, and photography exploring relationships between humans, animals, and nature through shamanistic rituals and radical empathy.

Coates has exhibited extensively including solo shows at Serpentine Gallery, Kunsthalle Zurich, and Fundació Joan Miró, and was featured in Tate Britain's Altermodern exhibition. He was shortlisted for the Fourth Plinth commission in 2014 and received a Paul Hamlyn Award in 2008. He is represented by Kate MacGarry and Workplace Gallery.

The rebuild migrated the site to Craft CMS, maintaining Modern Activity's established design with refinements. The technical build included custom video encoding implementation and a bespoke video player to showcase Coates' extensive video and performance work.
